Damn. The witch had stopped her offense dead in it's track with those magical barriers and just when The Blind Assassin thought of a way to break through she'd lose her weapon by some kind of disarming spell. By then it was all to clear, Fukari knew what had to be done.
No more fucking spells.
Lamia seem to be speaking in Latin but even that Fukari wasn't sure of. Either way it was a language she didn't speak nor understood so Fukari had no way of knowing what was being cast before hand. The spells so far were indirect leaving Fukari unable to track most of them through her senses. The only warning....
Was in the incantation!
As the next spell's incantation was being spoken Fukari interrupted it by drawing a single shuriken and swinging it to slash open the throat of the witch. No matter the outcome Lamia wouldn't get to finish her little spell.

Lamia blocked by bringing up her steel hand and catching the shuriken inbetween her fingers bringing the other hand up to punch the blind assassin in the face allowing her to take the shuriken and stab her with it in a non fatal body part of the torso area. Lamia had to make sure this woman was in fighting condition when she brought her to the Queen.

Nothing like being stabbed by your own shuriken.
The Blind Assassin burst off in full speed after her Katana, closing distance with it quickly as fortunately the path she was on led her to no traps, nor were any close enough for the witch to set off and use against her as she pulled the shuriken out of her and grabbed the Katana with the other hand.

Lamia was still one with her surroundings, she raised up her right arm and a wall of sand came up to block the blind assassin from her sword, being magically enchanted enough to where it was as solid as one and would not break easy and the blind assassin would find herself running right into it as once again Lamia went for the finish.
"Austerus."

Fukari kicked off the sand wall and threw the shuriken that was still in her hand to Lamia to interrupt yet another spell. That time the incantation was spoken more quietly but it didn't matter how quiet she spoke it, Fukari's hearing would still pick it up. The Blind Assassin then double jumped up the wall and over it, landing behind it and picking up the holy Katana.

Lamia dodged the shuriken with ease then lowered her arm allowing the sand wall to return to the ground from which it came, exposing the blind assassin that was behind it.
"Praetrunco."
She said it quickly and decisively, the spell severed the arms and legs of the blind assassin so she couldn't use the katana or the shurikens for the next spell, which again was spoke quickly and decisively.
"Austerus."

The Blind Assassin had her arms and legs severed and once again the Katana would fall to the black sands covering the lost city. Just when all hope for Fukari to make a comeback seem lost she summoned the strength to launch more shurikens created by her demonic energy towards the witch just in time to prevent that spell from being cast again. When was this woman going to learn? No matter what...
Fukari wouldn't let that spell be cast.
Or any others for that matter if she had anything to say about it. The Blind Assassin's arms and legs regenerated from the earlier spell and she picked up the Katana, charging quickly at the witch as now she was in her face, the blessing on the Katana blade has risen to dangerous levels and it would be more than enough to break through the barriers created by dark magic as she unleashed an omnipotent barrage of slashes, like the ones used to destroy The Serpent's familiars, only this time her feet was on the ground as opposed to being airborne.

Lamia had to stop one spell and do another, blocking the shurikens with more magical barriers but then the blind assassin would come at her faster than ever but the katana would cut through nothing more than black mist in Lamia's wake as she teleported from one position to another behind the blind assassin. Now with plenty of distance between them Lamia snapped her fingers and the ground underneath Fukari became like quick sand, swallowing her up quickly.

Sneaky little bitch.
Those were her first thoughts as she began to be taken away by quicksand. The Blind Assassin kept her cool which caused the sand to take her in more slowly as panicking would only accelerate the already fast pace of the sand.
It wasn't fast enough.
A grappling hook shot forward and cut through the distance between her and Lamia, she was far but not far enough away to avoid the grappling hook wrapping around her and now dragging her into her own trap as another grappling hook was fired to a nearby wall, hoisting Fukari up and out of the quicksand while Lamia was brought into it to sink alongside the previous shot grappling hook.

This was resolved by simply snapping her fingers again and the quicksand returned to normal ground by the time Lamia got in position to be trapped by it. Removing the grappling hook and tossing it aside the witch looked back over to the blind assassin.
"Nice try but it's hopeless trying to use my own magic against me."

"The same can be said when it comes to using my traps against me, yet you tried."
Fukari stood prepared with the Katana still in hand as it looked like this battle could wage on further, both sides showing their stubbornness by this point in the battle. The witch was hell bent on capturing her and The Blind Assassin was hell bent to avoid it and not allow The Spider Queen of Jherra any advantages that would come with that capture.
"Thought I'd repay the favor."

"I can't go back to her empty handed."
Lamia raised up her left arm and closed her hand into a fist, seconds later did the ground all around and up close to Fukari rise up quickly, forming over head to trap her in a cocoon of sand.

"You've proven to be more competent than she yet you're the lackey? Why?"
Fukari would have no answer, instead her hearing would lure her to the sound of the ground raising up all around her. Right when the sand walls were closing in The Blind Assassin tapped into her demonic strength and broke her way right through the sand wall now coming at the witch quickly unleashing a swift and deadly three hit combo that ended with a killing blow via thrust to the heart.

Lamia leaped back, away and out of reach from the katana before casting another spell silently. This one aim to pick off the woman senses one by one. The first thing to happen to the blind assassin would be her hearing a very loud ringing in her ears to cut off her ability to track things through hearing. Next Lamia scent would spread across the entire area, it would be as if the witch was everywhere at the same time making it even more difficult to figure out where she was standing, as now if the half breed sniff her out Lamia would smell like she's standing everywhere in the surrounding area. This woman was blind and relied so heavily on hearing and smell, now both were taken away in one fair swoop. This one was over.
"Austerus."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Fukari dropped her Katana and clamp her hands to her ears. The ringing sound was too much for her to handle as it spread throughout her head and made her want to tear her own two ears off. Knowing not what else to do she deafen herself to free herself from the ringing but right then would she become alert. The Blind Assassin picked up her Katana and spun around, not knowing where to go or who to attack.
She was everywhere!
But how could that be? Fukari didn't have time to ponder or come up with some form of defense as all of a sudden every part of her body became numb, nothing but her eyes would be able to move and her eyes were completely useless to her! Once again the holy blade dropped to the sand as Fukari fell over onto the ground as her hearing came back and the ringing stop....
But the battle was lost.
