"Words are meant for poets, not warriors," said the Devil, she had a lazy gaze about her as she watched Aper and Nellia. Her wings spread, the bone that made them up was covered in golden chain, the chain that bound Prometheus to the stone. Each length of this chain bound a part of history to her, artifacts and ornaments hung and jingled from the chain and their power all bound to her, the wings wrapped around her and the golden objects all retreated into the light within her body.
Her eyes opened to a dim white glow, and the wings folded back empty of their burden. "every man who is armed for battle, will cross over to fight before the lord, just as our lord says." She quoted text that didn't exist within these boundaries. The blade in her hand took a shimmering glow to it as well, and her left palm generated power that raced up her arm. The air had become ever more still, and the sky cracked open shining light on the situation only slightly.
Adena looked up for a moment at the light and watched as the clouds took it, she said to herself, not loudly for any other to hear, "So you can hear my words... Yahweh."

Gangrel emerged once more, the first siege engine halted and rendered useless. He moved quickly, the blades spinning still as he sliced through the abyss once more. he sought their leader, one who might pose a challenge or at least have a name Gangrel could savor as he massacred his foe. He called out angrily as he slaughtered more minions, more useless fodder. That's all there seemed to be in this attack. Though the paladins and the civilians seemed to be overwhelmed by these masses... "WHO LEADS THIS RABBLE! STAND BEFORE ME! I AM GANGREL OF CHARNEL AND THE FAVORED SON OF THE LORD OF DECAY DEMANDS A FOE! FACE MY SCYTHES AND DESPAIR, O COWARD!" An antique challenge to the foe, calling out as he moved through the ranks of the abyss, slashing and mowing and reaping with his spinning blades.
"right on..." He watched Zira, following her lead and letting his voice carry to the masses of civilians. They'd managed a moment's respite as the battle raged elsewhere, and people had managed to make it to the docks unmolested. Joshua looked around, there were boats that hadn't been touched by the war yet, though those damn fake meteors were getting closer. He looked to Zira and then pointed to the boats and yelled to the crowd. "TO THE SHIPS! GET TO THE SHIPS!" It was their only chance, he quickly caught up with Zira.
"Sparkles, you get the people to the ships, I'm gonna go find Tori, alright?" He waited for her to nod, his armored hand twitching as the scales of his glove seemed to tense and shift.

Zira turned her attention back to Joshua, wanting to argue but that was rather a difficult feat to accomplish with just facial expressions. No time to debate Zira only nodded in response to Joshua before proceeding to lead the group of people on the ships while putting faith in the holy man to protect them from the surrounding danger.

There was no need for Nellia to showcase any sort of fancy lights or darkness. Her limit was in her ability to simply be confident about herself. She stood against two foes, whom she had never faced the like of before. It was a good day to die.
---
Kasami flew a fine path toward the docks, her eyes darted from foe to foe as if she was a robot. Her mind read every single small movement they made, no matter how little, and effectively she found open spots to create the most damage in every swing of her blade. "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down!"

Joshua wouldn't have to search. Tori had fought her way through the sea of Abyss soldiers running through the town after breaking out of her violent rage and simply walked passed him making her way for the ships. "Let blow this popsicle stand." Both her guns were hoisted as she followed after Zira and the survivors. She couldn't wait to get back home.

Her world was falling down all around her. Literally. This was her home being destroyed and there wasn't a damn thing she could do to stop it. The people she had declared to Illion she wouldn't allow to be killed was dying right in front of her while only a small portion of the citizens made it to the docks and it was the people she thought as villains that had saved them. Not her. Alexis wanted to fall down onto her knees and weep openly but that would be her death right there. She wanted to charge the one responsible for this attack but her gut instinct advised against it. With nothing else left to do Alexis mercilessly tore her way through the abyss with her sword and made her way to the docks to join the others escaping the city.

Illion stared down the two beings before him. He would fight alongside Nellia, but he was still holding his ground in the event that she unleash full holy abilities that would put him in harms way. Today stood the fall of Fallon Square, but the rise of giants in the game of war. Would it be Inanis's pet? The Ajerian Lieutenant? The Paladin General? or The Abyss Deceiver?
He lowered his head and felt out the area, slowly he felt out the area to tap into Alexis's mind, "Go where the ship takes you. Praven will greet you on the other side, seek out Andion, tell him what has happened here. He'll do the rest." Illion raised his head and looked to the battle field. The air was still now, he flexed his fingers getting the feel for his weapon once again. It was time.

Still on his feet, Aper looked at his enemies, his blades slowly spinning into a backhand grip, tracing two serrated lines along his back – he was ready. In a flash, the Arashi spun on his axis swiping one of his blades in a great horizontal arch. Despite the distance, the earth beneath the Paladin and the Ajerian’s feet was dissected, beginning an abrupt and treacherous slide towards the waters. The second blade came nigh-instantly, sending a second arch threatening to decapitate the woman and her companion.

"My thoughts exactly, boats are that way. This place is shit anyways." Joshua hitched a thumb over his shoulder, indicating a path back to the boats. "Let's go then, Commander Keen!" He looked around at the city falling under the abyssal waves, the damage dealt by the bizarre and vague siege weapons of the abyss to Fallon Square. He couldn't resist. He couldn't fucking resist... "Oh, how the mighty have Fallon." If he had some shades he'd slowly put them on as a song by "The Who" played, but no, Joshua left the fourth wall intact for now. He ran with Tori then saw the Abyssal forces gathering, grunts and archers and all of that moving around. He heard the explosions of fireballs from their toys, the screams of battle...
Shit was SOOOOOOOOO Cash!
He redoubled his pace, wanting to get onto that boat as well, losing battles were not his scene, daddy-oh!
There... Those wings. Gangrel had rushed through the abyss until he saw... Those wings. Those superfluous, decorated, bone protrusions from Adena. He saw the paladins and that weird demon... thing... And a bundle of old laundry pretending to be a soldier. Gangrel's scythes easily spun up to speed and once more he charged in. Those nigh-instantaneous slashes from the laundry bundle severed the very terrain, trying to behead the combatants AND dump them into some water, this one showed some skill despite his lackluster and laughable appearance. "hehehehehehe..." A small chortle, He'd love this. Gangrel's speed increased as he leaned forwards, almost starting to tumble over as he rocketed like a bullet into the fray, heading for Adena, planning to rip through her with this headlock rush, his blades still spinning lightning-fast as he barreled in for the kill with each breath, each second.

Adena's attention went away from the group and onto the whizzing sound she continued to hear drawing closer and closer. What she saw was odd, but she calculated what it was doing, and though the look on her face was a shift from being serious to more of a questioning facial expression she kept her cool.
Mostly because she didn't care. Given the certain fact that there were three others facing against her yet they seemed too busy fighting amongst themselves. She had half the mind to walk away and let them kill one another, her job was done after all. Part of Adena even made her want to abandon the rest of the fodder supplied to her for this raid. Oddly enough the on coming pile of clothing with blades attached to it didn't bother her still.
Then Gangrel was right there, Adena flickered up a barrier between she and it, in that instant she raised her hand and forced tons of fire and lightning in Gangrels direction looking to literally fry him from the inside out.

Gangrel smacked into the barrier, Psychics were notorious cowards and cheats, after all... He felt his blades uselessly scraping and nicking and bouncing off the force field, he could merely pull back and rev angrily, letting those scything blades spin faster and faster as his frustration flared. Speaking of flairs, a huge gout of fire shot from the unworthy woman's hands. Gangrel found this irritating, all he wanted to do was chop her vestigial bone wings off. Why was she resisting the inevitable.
Something interesting about this fire, Gangrel's spinning scythes were pulling a lot of air with each angry rotation. At this point they were almost a blur, wind was visibly being distorted. Inadvertently that stopped the flames from touching Gangrel. In a remarkably fantastic yet accidental display the flames were pulled into the winds above his scythes, crackling and disappointing around him as he continued to stare, her silly display merely annoying Gangrel.
"GYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUGH!"
The lightning fucked him up right proper though. His scythes turning against him and conducting the electricity quite well, he could feel several important things bake, and several less important but still painful things rupture. Black blood ran from his eyes and bubbled out of his mouth as smoke rose from the black sockets and the now grimacing jack-o-lantern smile. Gangrel's body shook and almost fell twice, dipping and catching itself on that cushion of whatever holds him up. Again he rushed the barrier, his scythes crackling with the electricity that had bit him and glowing from the heat of the fire. His pain drove him on, it hurts and he thanked his master for giving him pain. Charnel knew rage made the killer all the more terrible, and he gifted Gangrel with pain to make him stronger.
The glowing, spinning, revving blades audibly ripped at the air, and begun to dig at the barrier once more. Gangrel's body trembled, the very act of being in battle sealing the wounds within him and soothing the baked flesh of his internal organs, but he will long relish the kill of this being who so brought forth his dark and cursing wrath. "I shall offer your mangled remains to my lord charnel! heeeheehehehehoohoohoohehahahahahahaha! He shall thank me for this bloody prayer and spread his graveyard wailing to your world! neeheeheehehahahahahahohoho!" The thought of ripping this thing open and spilling it's life on his blades... oh, Gangrel could barely contain his elation, his rage and joy crashing against the barrier every time his scythes ripped across it, his anticipation leaked from him like the internal bleeding out his face.

Came a burst of shadow and smoke. Illion reappeared upon his radiant target looming off to the side, trying to feel inside this beings mind but he was overshadowed by the pure energy that was output from the Arashi. More smoke, the Ajerian had moved away again and lifted blade in hand.
The path he stared down was free and clear. The blade in his hand roared alive with energy and power leaving behind a residue of dark magic. His body twisted, his back tilted forward allowing the blade to rotate around it. In his twisting nature he grabbed the blade and flung it outward lancing the black magic from it spreading across the entire area. Though the area was holy, his magic would sit on top of this, and it was in all directions now and slowly spreading.
Illion raised his hood and pulled on his golden mask. It was war time.

The paladin moved forward and then suddenly to the side as the blade came her way. The wrath of the light burst from the sky as her blade struck out against the foe sending a colossal sized wave of holy energy skirting toward it. Anything unholy to touch this energy would literally have their flesh rendered from their skin.
Kasami on the other hand continued to slay and slay and slay her way to the docks. The Ookami ruptured her way through the barrier of the Elder only to jump back from it as the holy energy washed over her body causing intense pain, "Mother! FUCKER!" She yelled loudly, "I'm helping people! Lemme in!"

His blades wrapped close around him, Aper remained stationary even as Illion moved about on the field, instead observing him and the paladin who pointedly evaded both the rockslide and his attacks. Both were quick to launch a counterattack, albeit in very different fashion: the Ajerian began to spread a dark aura around the field, subjecting the environment to his will while the woman condensed a vast amount of holy energy in an arc of approximately thirty feet she promptly directed at him in one heavy downward stroke. Breaking his gaze from the shadowy mist to look at the imposing beam that threatened to cleave him in two, the Arashi could not deny these were skilled individuals – a pity considering the inevitability of their fate.
Expertly twirling one of his swords in his hands while sheathing the other at his hip, Aper placed himself sideways so as to fall directly within the arc’s trajectory – and then extended a hand. To anyone watching, it would have seemed as though the Arashi was waiting to catch the deadly wave... In truth, he was focusing an immense current of raw power through the limb, which quickly grew to surpass the sheer mass of the Paladin’s attack. As it neared, the rags and shadows around Aper’s arm began to shift and move wildly, as though animated by an unnatural wind, until finally they extended towards the projectile like vicious tentacles.
And then the two forces collided.
A nigh-metallic screech erupted, continuously shrieking its grinding note as the Arashi held the massive wave. The clamour was short lived however, as Inanis’ servant quickly dissected it with a precise cut down its center, sending one piece flying towards Illion’s unholy center of magic and throwing the other towards Adena. The light around Aper receded, revealing the snaking tendrils around his hand. Sapphire eyes starred at the angel who was about to be met with the full force of Nel’s attack.
Though not before the Paladin would be segmented by the force of the cut that had dealt with her offense…

Adena raised her blade and let her barrier fall. Her sword became empowered by the new energy that the barrier had taken up. As soon as the barrier feel Gangrel moved forward, her sword instantly came crashing for him, breaking away his blades and cutting through him, throwing parts of his body on either side of her. As he hit the ground the energy of her blade rippled through him causing him to explode.
She was given a moments rest before her body turned downward gathering some of the holy energy she could feel out and turned her body again in a sideways slash, the slash had also created a holy barrier around her, Nellia's assault crashed around her and pushed her back slowly but it destroyed more of the surroundings than it wasted her energies.
Adena turned her blade over and swiped it outward and moved forward toward the Arashi. Her black eyes traced up his body and into his face, she looked him over time after time after time, but even now she felt she had the tools to kill the three before her. The Ajerian wouldn't pose a problem, she was sure of that. The Paladin was going to be a splinter in her side because of the holy grounds. Aper, the Arashi, seemed uncaring of the holy soil they stood on, but even she wasn't worried about the colossal energies he was bursting out.
This eve reminded her so much of the final hours of her realm.
