"Well... for starters... You say Arix died but last I heard he was alive and well hunting down Yezabell to get Umbra repaired after the fight with the keeper..." He trailed off having to remember that this wasn't his world but a new one. He shook his head grabbing a bottle of what he could only guess would be a bottle of jack in this world and a small glass and poured himself some. "Never mind that, I keep forgetting. Just fill me in on the basics so far." He took a sip from his freshly poured drink then a drag from his cigarette.

"The Keeper was killed by Cyris about an hour ago, Arix died a good five thousand years ago. The Abyss rose from the entrance wound a year ago, and we've been at war with them ever since. Amon, the Shackled Lord is now allowed his full power from what I've seen, and the Abyss army is growing with strength as the day goes by. But they now lack the ability to recruit members through the book of souls. Or so I believe.
"The Abyss destroyed this city and claimed it as their own, they're currently trying to devastate Jerico, but we, the Ajerians, wont allow them to. This campaign of ours against them has come at a failure because of that cloaked man."

He took in the information, "Really? An hour ago? Why does it sound like he was a whole lot softer than the one I and the Arix from my world faced..." He retorted, remembering how his and Arix's fight with the keeper left them both owned and left himself almost powerless. "I have a pretty clear concept of these abyss guys... had to deal with them at my place too." He stated, taking a sip from his drink, "Grunts are too bad, just the generals that we had to watch out for..." He took a moment before reiterating what Alex had said.
A pause and drag later he began to talk, "So let me get this straight... you guys were in a war with the abyss when this guy crashed the party... that's the jist of it, right?"

"Maybe, you're a lot softer than the people here?" Alex suggested sliding the machete into the hip pouch, "Basically that's the just of it. There's also another faction of rebels, the Legion of the Damned. But they aren't much to worry about, like a civilians army or something."

"I'd rather not try to prove any different to you with that thing out there, who knows when it'll be after us again." He responded getting up and looking out of a window for a quick peek, "besides that... there were others who did way worse than me." He took another drag from his cigarette and finished off his drink.
"Well all this sounds fun... there any open slots in your army?"

"Always is, but you have to talk to Cyris," he said taking a seat in the corner of the room to rest and gather his energy back up from when he lost a lot of it after attacking Inanis physically. "Which is where I'm heading when we leave here. But we cannot stay long here, that thing is tracking us I'm sure."

"No problem and no objections," He said smoking the last of his cigarette before putting it out, "And not that I want it to happen... but... how exactly are we gonna be able to lose that thing if it catches up with us again?"

"I don't know," he said simply, "Keep running until we get to Cyris, she'll figure something out. We can't stop him, but he's not unstoppable, I'm sure." He was lying he wasn't sure or not if Inanis could be stopped at this point, so far it seemed as if Inanis was invincible.

"Heh, sure as hell seems like he is..." Daikus retorted towards Alex's remark. "Either way a mad dash to the finish... not my style but given the circumstances... I guess I got no choice." He muttered those words under his breath before putting the cigarette pack in one of his pockets and getting his holsters and sheaths tightened against his body so that they didn't bang against him while running. "Ready whenever you are."

Alex uncrossed his legs and stood up. He stretched a bit then turned to the other door, "Very well, lets keep moving, it's a long trek to our outpost here, we'll run into Abyss on the way there I'm sure." He snapped his fingers and a Judgment appeared before him, "Warn Cyris that we have a guest coming along with me."
The judgment nodded and disappeared.

"I'm not really worried about abyss compared to that thing earlier." He said walking towards the door and drawing his nickle plated revolver, "We'll just run through them and keep going." He looked back towards Alex when the Judgment disappeared, "Ready?"

"Ready."
Alex opened the back door to the room and trounced down the hall quietly and quickly. He alone didn't understand why he was being quiet, something in his own nature. He posted up against a blown out window and looked around the opening. In the clearing walked the cloaked being, away from them heading north west.
His voice was hushed to a whisper, "He's heading toward the Abyss camps. That's good, they'll be calling in a lot of their troops clearing the roads."

Daikus moved to Alex's position to peek out the window and watch as the being was indeed moving in the direction he had said. "Thank whatever god exists here.." He muttered, he was thinking for a moment, thinking of a way to be able to run out of the city while not alerting the abyss or grab the attention of that thing. That's when he got an Idea. "Hey, ever heard of Parkour?" There was a slight silence between them, "I say we run the roofs until we run out of roofs to run, It'll make it easier for us. We'll go slightly unnoticed and when we touch ground we'll have the advantage of endurance to fight what we have to while he continue to get the hell out of dodge."

"Risky. Given that some of the buildings are unstable, and some have already fallen down. But yes, that's an idea," when he saw Inanis out of view he jumped out the window and ran for the ally way between the two buildings then bounced from one to another over and over again until he was four stories up and on top of the opposite building. He stopped and looked around catching his barrings.

Daikus was soon to follow but as he jumped up, an ice blue demonic array was created under his feet which he used as a platform to bound higher and flip into the air and land on the building next to Alex, "Just point in which direction, the rest'll be easy."
