What part of "don't fuck up" didn't she understand? Tori jumped forward, the heel of her right foot connecting with the side of the officer's face as he fell back into the ground while Tori landed next to Zira. With both guns still drawn she fired at the mage, but the mage managed to block with another magical barrier which caught the bullets and then he sent them back, twice as fast. One hit her shoulder, the second hit a leg, thankfully missing an artery, no bone still hurt like hell though and the third went over her head but not before taking a part of her hair. This woman; she would be the death of her.
The mage was preparing a fire spell and that would be her opening. Rising through the agonizing pain of her own bullets Tori managed to get up and use the rising Abyss officer as a meatshield against the mage's flames. The officer was burned alive and then kicked in the direction of the mage knocking them down as she looked back to Zira. "Get up!"

Zira was sorry you could tell it in her eyes but being sorry wasn't good enough. She understood that much. Forcing herself to a stand it was Zira's turn to take Tori by the hand and lead her out of the lobby, pass the two Abyss men and out into the streets where the scum of the earth were fighting against the Abyss in what was now open warfare, and they weren't doing a very good job of it either. But the distraction being caused by them was enough to allow the two a chance to slip out of sight and into an dark alley where Tori could rest. Zira tore off a piece of her clothes and used it as a means to stop the bleeding from the cut wound but she didn't have anything that would remove a bullet as she looked towards Tori with worry in her eyes.

"Yeah you better feel sorry." Tori allowed Zira to hold her while heading out of the glassed building. Quite frankly Tori could use something to lean on before finding a good hiding place so she could perform first aid on herself. She didn't spend all that time learning survival training in the army to die by her own damn bullets. Her eyes wandered off to the streets which have been reduced to a battlefield as the two arrived to a dark alley. Lame, but it would do.
Tori sat down against a building wall, looking down at the piece of clothing of Zira as it was used to stop the bleeding. Now all that was left to do was remove the bullets and patch herself up. Using the items she had on her Tori carefully removed the bullets from her shoulder and leg before tending to the wound and covering it with a bandage. If Zira looked closely she could see a vampire bite mark present on the right side of Tori's neck, although the bite for the most part was clearing up. It was by courtesy of the Spider Queen back home. Something to remember her bye.
"Have you ever been shot by one of these?" asked Tori, holding up the .40S&W for Zira to see as plain as day. "They don't fucking tickle!" She tossed the bullet aside and then leaned back against the building wall she was sitting up against. A minute. That was all she needed but Tori would settle for a couple of seconds. "I need a moment. Why don't you make yourself useful and play lookout? Let me know if somebody is coming this way." Tori closed her eyes but upon remembering she was dealing with a mute opened then once more. "Wave your arms or flail. Whatever. Just make it obvious."

Zira's eyes narrowed over the bite mark found on Tori's neck, wondering what could have caused it. Given it condition whatever did it to her did so long before her arrival here so for now it was irrelevant. Zira then saw that S&W bullet up close and personal as Tori was giving a small verbal licking for messing up back there. She may have deserved that but Zira didn't know how else to make it up to Tori for dropping the ball. The rookie decided it was best to do as Tori requested and stood up going to the edge of the alley to peak out from behind the corner and keep an eye on things. They needed to keep moving before too long and even if a hiding place was necessary an alley was not the ideal place.

Tori let out a groan, her body aching all over as it was trying to heal the beating it received just a few minutes ago. Tori's hand subconsciously ran over the vampire bite mark on her neck. Doing so caused Tori to flashback to that moment in time, feeling the fangs of the Spider Queen pierce her skin for the first time and she herself being powerless to stop it while desperately tugging on the chains binding her. The second in command of Ranko's army made sure to drain her blood little by little each time she raped her, leaving it a surprise whether Tori was to be turned or just killed. Thankfully Tori never found out as either alternative wasn't very appealing to the Commander.
That moment kept replaying in her mind and before she could get trapped in it Tori snapped herself back to reality. Now was no time to be freaking out over something that happened, something that she couldn't change no matter how much she wanted to. Oh Tori was going to kill that bitch. The Commander had to make it home so she could at least do that. It would be pretty big community service to the world at large to see that bitch dead. What a coward, the woman didn't remove the blindfold so Tori could see her face. But that voice. Tori would never forget that voice.
Her moment was up and Tori slowly ascended and approached Zira, looking over her shoulder and out to the battle now raging between the natives and the Legion of Abyss. Their courage could at least be admired even though their results were nowhere near as satisfactory. "I'm good to go. Lead the way because I doubt your fellow natives will keep them at bay for much longer."

Zira looked back at Tori with concern in her eyes. Concern for her town and the people in it even though these people were most likely horrible and the kind that would stab you in the back, or the front. Nonetheless Zira heart was filled with concern for them as the Abyss threatened to destroy everything they created here. Her eyes scanned the surrounding area and saw a vehicle up ahead that they could use to cover ground faster. Ducking down Zira led Tori over to that vehicle and opened her up, beginning to hotwire the thing to start her up.

Tori almost felt bad for saying what she did once she saw the concern in Zira's eyes. Almost. Tori was still as hard as a rock on the outside and inside thanks to war. She didn't trust this girl as far as she could throw her but for now this mute knew the area better than she and was her best bet getting out of here. Zira led and Tori followed, stopping near a car that the girl was now trying to hotwire. Well at least she was good for some things.
An Abyss foot soldier was making their way over to them. Thinking quick on her feet Tori pulled open the car door and the tackling soldier's head went through the glass as Tori then grabbed him and began to bang his face against the hood of the car. "Get! The! Fuck! Out!" Four times did she bang it against the hood before letting go and allowing the foot soldier to fall to the ground. Tori then entered the passenger seat and shut the door. "Get a move on!" she said while fastening her seatbelt. Safety was better than flying out the windshield.

Zira felt rushed, she didn't like feeling rushed it made her goof up like before in the lobby. This time though she would pull through as the car engine roared and she slammed her foot on the gas sending this baby into gear as it went down the road. It shouldn't be long now but the thing is pass Jerico was The Dune Sea and Zira didn't know how Tori would react to having to cross a desert. Well she would find out soon enough.

Tori began to lean back in her seat and just when she started to relax her eyes wandered up to the rear view mirror and saw a hoard of Abyss troops running after them. "Oh blow me." Tori unfastened her seat belt and drew her pistols, looks like she'll have to risk flying through the windshield after all. Tori stuck her head out the window, guns pointed at the crowd chasing them she began to fire, a couple went down but the rest drew out their tower shields and made hitting them nearly impossible as the shields endured the bullets. "Dammit! Drive faster!"

Zira also saw the soldiers chasing them down from the rear view mirror. Just when you thought things couldn't get any worst than they were this happens. Tori wouldn't have to ask twice as Zira pushed down on the gas as far as it could go, running the car through the streets at over 100MPH yet this wouldn't last much longer. Like out of a bad zombie horror movie, only without the actual zombies, an Abyss soldier reveal himself in the back seat with a knife. Panicking Zira came to a sudden stop which caused the soldier to fly straight out of the windshield as the car came to a screeching halt near a gas station.

This was definitely not a speed in which Tori Jacobs was accustomed. Acting quickly the Commander stuck her head back into the car and fastened up ASAP and that was when the Abyss soldier in the backseat reveal himself. "Mother---!" Tori couldn't even finish her sentence as the soldier went flying through the windshield and this was exactly why Tori always wore a seat belt. It kept her from jolting forward and through the windshield like the Abyss soldier just did. As the car came to a force stop Tori looked in the rear view mirror to see that the Abyss group back there were catching up.
That was when Tori realized where they were. A gas station. It was time to cause an explosion and send the hoard on their asses back to hell. From there they could sneak out of sight behind the flames and make their exit from the city. "Mute, listen up; we're going to blow this place up and these assholes with it. Grab some gasoline and spread it around. When they get close light it and run. Once the explosion goes off we make a run for it. I'll hold them off." By the time Tori finished she had exit the car, again with both her pistols in her hands. "Don't fuck up." Those would be the words to cap off everything else as she ran forward and started firing at the in-coming swam of Abyss to give Zira enough time to set everything up.

Zira listened, hanging onto every word as she nodded before leaving the car behind the flamethrower still in hand. This was it her chance to make up for the mistake back in the lobby. Zira grabbed a can of gasoline while Tori held off the Abyss soldiers and began pouring it around the gas station, emptying it Zira tossed the can aside and took out her lighter. If it could burn down her home it could blow up a gas station and destroy their enemies. Zira lit up the gasoline and as the fire traveled Zira did a 180 and made a run for it.

The pistols echoed across the night's sky, a total of six bullets traveling through the air towards the hoard of Abyss coming this way. Three bullets from each pistol. They smacked into some of the grunts in the front lines who then fell back into the ones with shields causing a chain reaction. But that only bought a small amount of time as the rest of the group went around their falling comrades and came forward, protected by the bullets with their towershields they advanced, looking to slaughter the two remaining women in their path.
Tori saw Zira light the fire out of the corner of her eyes, and with a few more shots fired at the in-coming Abyss Tori made a run for it. The hoard was right where they needed to be as suddenly an explosion erupted and Tori jumped forward, being pushed further away by the explosion as it took out the car and the Abyss soldiers that were coming in for the kill. Tori found herself kissing dirt as she got up to her knees and coughed a little before pulling herself up to her feet. She turned around to the burning Abyss soldiers on the ground and gave them the middle finger before looking around for Zira.

Zira was on the ground kissing dirt after the explosion. Hands now pressed up against the ground she got up to one knee and then pulled herself up to both feet, lifting up the fallen flamethrower as she did so, looking over to Tori in the distance and running over to her happy to see that she was well and the squad chasing them have been destroyed.

"What you smiling about it's not over yet." Tori put both her weapons back into their hoists before continuing. "Now continue to lead the way out of town. Somebody would have heard that explosion so we need to get out of here before more of those bastards are swarming the place like bees."
