Joshua was wearing a remarkably nice suit, some very fine clothes he'd fished out of David's closet. David, who had owned this body before putting on the glove, had been relegated to a small parcel at the back of what was now Joshua's mind. He was still there, albeit confined in a form of mental exile. Joshua was out now, and he once again had senses, sight, taste, touch... He wanted to reacquaint himself with old friends such as food, drink, and pleasurable company.
"it's good to be alive..." Joshua had found a lot of money, both in David's house and in various places around the city, usually on missing persons. He wanted to enjoy this money, and he wanted to share that enjoyment with someone. He thumbed through it slowly, about $3000 in cash on his body at this time, and he wanted to spend it soon. He whistled some old tunes he'd dug out of David's memory as he walked down the street, dressed for success and looking for a fancy restaurant.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Gunshots fired off in rapid succession, colliding with a vampire's body. Blood sprayed out from its wounds and onto the streets; no vitals were struck. "Fuck." A woman with long, red hair cursed under her breath and cocked her guns. "I'm not getting paid enough to take this one down." The vampire came down from above, hoping to take her by surprise. Too easy.
Her eyes flashed, red bled into the silver hues, and she aimed both guns up. Without looking, she fired two rounds: one plunged through the head, the other the heart. Dead vampire; oh the irony. Her right arm stretched out and caught the corpse.
For days, this freshly turned vampire was causing problems throughout the rich ward, and now that it's gone, it's time to collect her reward. Awkward thing about finishing off this situation is walking out of the alley with a bloodied head, wearing jeans and a tank top that also had blood on them, and seeing someone approach wearing a tuxedo.
Yep, not awkward at all.

"Well..." There was a girl, not a bad looking woman to say the least, wearing a blood stained tank top and pair of jeans. She was holding a bloody severed head. This was by far the hottest thing Joshua had ever seen. He blinked a few times, then brought his armored hand up to his chin. The sleeve of his suit was frayed a bit, the glove having torn the cuff a bit when he had dressed.
"May I please buy you dinner, my treat?"
Well that wasn't forward. This person had quite obviously just killed someone, better ask 'em for a meal. Needless to say Joshua didn't feel fear or surprise, just a sense of admiration for this person. He saw something truly primal and powerful in this woman and he had locked onto it. This was someone he wouldn't need to worry about meeting his parents, this was someone with whom he could share a lobster dinner and probably a nice bar crawl.

Wait, this person was asking her out to dinner while she was holding a head and had blood on her clothes? The red had long faded from her eyes, and she adjusted her sunglasses to hide the silver hue. This situation was just getting far too awkward for her tastes, but the growling of her stomach told her otherwise. No, resist the hunger, Amoura. Resist!
"I would, but I've got to return to someone," she held up the head, "this fellow's been causing problems around here and I had to bring proof back that he's dead."
Getting rid of the blood won't be an issue, but she'd rather not let him see it sinking into her skin, leaving the clothes unmarked.
"And, I already ate. I'd hate to waste your money."
That had to be a good enough excuse.

"not my money anyways."
Joshua pocketed the wad of cash again, then tilted his head. Those were some nice shades... He had decided. He's following whoever this is. She intrigued him, and that was good enough for Joshua.
"Well, I hope you don't mind if I follow you. I'm... New in town, and you seem friendly enough." He chuckled softly, watching the girl and tilting his head to one side. He held his left hand out, the girl holding the head in her right hand and she probably would be suspicious of shaking his armored right hand. "name's Joshua, by the way. And if you've already eaten would you be interested in a movie? A drink?"

Not his money? Who would be stupid enough to admit that? Amaran mentally face-palmed and sighed; this guy was an idiot. But, he did manage to get away with a big lump of cash...
"Huh, what?"
Now he wants to take her out for a drink and a movie?! What sort of fucked up person would--why is he wearing something plated on his hand? She showed off her other hand, which was caked in dry blood; she wasn't up for shaking at the moment,
"Name's Amanda," she nodded. No sense in giving away her nickname.

Amanda, nice name. Well she had blood on her hand, probably didn't want to mess up the suit... He shrugged as he felt David struggling against his mind, but he simply shrugged to Amanda and looked at her. Introductions aside, it seems the only thing left to talk about would be business.
"Did he give you any trouble?" Joshua gestured to the severed head, It didn't look like he did, she seemed to have a gun somewhere on her person, judging by the bullet holes, and she was either packing a blade or immensely strong, seeing as how she had severed the head from the body.

Something about this guy didn't seem right, but despite her gut instinct, she allowed herself to keep talking to this stranger. "Bah! He was no trouble at all!" Amoura gave him a cocky smile and bounced the head in her hand without a care in the world. Blood dribbled from the neck repeatedly each time it landed in her palm, "I let him have some fun for a while, thinking he outsmarted me, and now he's dead."
Amoura would have bragged about being a bounty hunter has its quirks, but refrained; giving away too much to someone you don't know never bodes well.
"Fledglings are easy to screw around with. It's fun."

"when is it not fun to toy with the weak?" Fantastic way to talk to a girl you just asked for a drink or a movie. She was juggling the head somewhat casually now. He grinned and watched it bounce.
"if you didn't have to take the head somewhere I'd ask for a ventriloquist show." He poked the head with his armored hand, then gave it a little flick and looked back to Amanda. "Well then, Amanda, you have somewhere to go and I'd like to accompany you there, we can talk about that drink when you're done your business with Ed the 'ead there."

"I like you!" Amoura forgoes the fact she had blood on her hand and punches his shoulder, "Playing with the weak can be a lot of fun!" The hybrid turns the head to face her, eyes it, and speaks once more.
"Alas, uncle Yorik, I knew him well. Not!" Amoura threw the head in the air and caught it. Someone's having way too much fun. "This is what happens to those who attack me! I'll leave 'em dead and with their head I'll go galumping back! Anyways..."
The hunter smirks and gestures over her shoulder, "C'mon. I'll go pick up the bounty for this fucker and we'll go do somethin'!" Amoura began to skip her way over to one of the houses just down the street.

a nice red mark was on the tuxedo now, d'oh well! Joshua grinned and followed Amanda, he moved at a small jog to keep up with her, but the tux prevented skipping. Freakin' suit was so restrictive! "we gotta find some more of those guys, I'm sure people would complain if we just had some fun with the local populace."
She was a woman after his own heart, and if she had a sharp enough knife, probably his kidneys too. "...And the Jabberwockey reference, nice!" He laughed and followed her to the house. She was probably just getting over that awkward period when you first talk to a stranger. Again, David struggled and sighed inside their shared head, but Joshua would not be dislodged from the Driver's seat.

"More? Meh," Amoura grabbed a handful of the vampire's head and dangled it over her shoulder, treating it more like a worn-out purse than an actual body part, "I've had my fill tonight with this one! To be honest, I'm getting a little hungry now." The hybrid could only hold back her vampiric urges for so long, even with the minimal amount of aura she's released; a visit to the blood bank will be necessary within the next few hours. Fuck.
"Well, of course! Who doesn't love the Jabberwockey? It's a classic and I just love classics! For instance..." Amoura extended her hand and pointed ahead, "I am the master of my fate! I am the captain of my soul! Try to figure that one out." Just because she's a bounty hunter doesn't mean she can't delve into literature.

Joshua quickly and aggressively probed David's memory, tearing through years of stockpiled movies, books, stories, poems... poems... "Invictus, by Will Henley!" He chuckled and watched her sling the head over her shoulder. "we should go bowling, it'd be a good use for the head." He could tell there was more to this Amanda than meets the eyes, granted he was wearing a tuxedo on a stolen body, and his entirely boiled down to a glove and a possession of a nobody from a nobody city.
Oh yeah, this was the stuff Disney couples were made of.
Joshua poked the head a few times, messing with the nose and the eyes as they walked. Even if you poked 'em softly the eyes made a fascinatingly visceral "squish" noise...

[She didn't reveal that xP]
"Bowling with this useless piece of crap? Naw. It'll roll right on off the aisle and screw up the chances of a strike. I'd prefer an actual bowling ball." Amoura stopped in front of a house, turned sharply, raised her forefinger and pressed the doorbell five times in a row; it was the code the one who hired her requested.
A camera lowered itself from the front door and hovered around the head, which she had extended at arm's length. The lenses shifted, focused, re-focused and sank back into the ceiling. Moments later, the door opened, a card fluttered down onto the welcome mat, and was slammed shut.
"Pleasure doin' business with ya!" The hunter scooped up the card, observed it --it was a business card with a temporary account--and pocketed it; she'll have to pick up the bounty within four days. "M'kay, done."

[deleted the offending lines, though you DID point out you were collecting a bounty on "this fucker" earlier in the RP]
"Alrighty then. About that drink..." Joshua grinned, there was just something about this Amanda, she was so playful yet callously psychotic. And the blood stained jeans really brought out the finer points of her ass. He was quite taken with her. so you got your chores done for the day? Or was there anything else you needed to get done?"
He had found Yesabelle so boring in the beginning, but had learned that David was merely a boring person. Now Joshua was allowed to have his fun, and he found a like-minded fun person to help him enjoy the better aspects of Yesabelle, to help prove there was more to this city than just boring people leading boring lives.
