[This thread is open to everyone who is within Fallon Square and happens alongside the thread The Arrival.] Silver clad paladins watched the seas of sand undeviatingly. What they saw was a single woman walking across the sea, and pure darkness following behind her, the sea of sand picked up so violently with gusts of sand that the tower the paladins stood on toppled over. Guard duty set the paladins on the outside to run for cover or run toward the woman. Simply quoting a text long lost to a realm since destroyed, her lips parted as the Paladins squared on her and the darkness, "Anyone who strikes a person with a fatal blow is to be put to death." At those words the storm of darkness fell dormant. Behind her stood a legion of Abyss soldiers. "And Christ asked him, 'what is your name', and he replied, 'Legion, for we are many.'" The same darkness roared up so suddenly and crushed the four paladins around her against the ground in horror piles of twisted metal, splintered bones, twisted limbs, and bloody mass. Holy arrows rained down from the heavenly skies, and the Abyss soldiers raised shield, and dropped to knee. Adena's bone wings extended around her shielding her from the hailstorm. And when they ceased for a brief moment, hell broke loose. In hand, the ring of Agimat, she raised said hand toward the walls of Fallon Square and a hellish lightning storm generated from the ring and arched out brutally with malicious intent. It hit one of the armored paladins and would arc to the next over and over again frying the entire lineup on the wall. The lightning though was accompanied with a firestorm all the same, setting flame to anything flammable on the wall and behind it. "Get up," she simply said and the line slowly stood and moved at her walking speed. When they came to the massive golden gates Adena slowly drew forth the blade of Anubis and struck the gate with wretched power forcing it open violently that the paladins behind it bracing it were crushed against the walls behind the doors now and the Abyss flooded through the entranced while Adena took off straight up and landed on the tower connected to the gate. She came to the edge of it and looked down as the Abyss began to fight against the Paladins.

Unfortunately, even after telling Alexis to catch up. He was the first one there to witness abyss vs. the paladins. And the paladins were loosing hard due to the suddenness of the attack laid on them. He looked around, no one else around... "Damnit, I'm tired of this crap..." He whistled hard, "Hey asshole! Get your ass over here and kill these abyss fuck heads!" He called out very loudly so that the thing he had rescued in the dead lands could hear him. It was always nice to have your own personal lawn mower...

Alexis had heard the cries of war long before Daikus came running out of the inn and calling to her. Her heart had already sank as she ran after him shouting out:
"ILLION!"
Where was he when she needed him most? Alexis came to a full stop next to Daikus as her hand rested on the hilt of her sword, eyes wide in shock at what she was witnessing up ahead.
"No. No, no, no. How could th---!? Why would th---!? No."
Alexis couldn't believe it. Nobody thought the Abyss would be crazy enough to attack the holy city and here they were.
"We can't let them take this city. We can't!"

Tori came out of the inn, hearing and seeing the innocence running and screaming at the top of their lunges as their safe haven was being challenged by the forces heading into the city. At this rate Tori was never going to get that bath. Bringing an arm up over her eyes she looked over to Daikus and Alexis in the horizon near the place where hell fought. "Sparks, Joshua, there are people here who can't fight. If this city goes down they're good as dead. Get as many as you can, find a ship, any other means there may be to escape the city, take advantage of the time this battle will give you. If the paladins here are worth their armor they won't be going down without a fight."
Tori knew already people were going to die. Everyone here couldn't be save but if all was lost perhaps one ship of survivors will remain escaping the city and avoiding the hand of Abyss on this day. "I'll help the others hold them off as long as possible but I make no promises. Prepare for the first rule of battle; you'll see people you care about die and won't be able to do a damn thing about it." Tori walked over to Daikus and the stick in the mud, both pistols now drawn from their hoists.

Play Time "nehehehehahahahahaha... ATTACK!" The blades on it's body started to spin up as he rushed through a wall, breaking it apart and descending into the fray. His scythe blades drank freely of the abyss minions. The foot soldiers, the useless fodder. The grunts managed to land blows on him, marring his bone armor and tearing his dead flesh, but each blow he landed, each second he spent in the rush of battle healed his body. He remained quiet and grinning as he moved through the abyss, leaving a trail of fallen and dismembered corpses as he moved.
What the fuck was that? As soon as Joshua got outside, his mask back on, he just saw what looked like a fucking bowling ball capable of hate move on by chopping down an army of ugly guys with stupid polearms. "That's the Abysmal Guys, huh? Lame, lost interest... GO LAWN MOWER, GO!" Joshua walked towards a pack of Abyss grunts that was trying to use the buildings to outflank some of the Paladin's army. This was gunna be fun.
The first one was easy, their leader rushed him and he simply ducked down, grabbed his leg, and picked him up. The others were even easier, he bludgeoned them with their own buddy. Next Joshua walked out and started to move towards the battle, that abyss grunt bludgeon still in his hand. It dragged like a macabre rag doll behind him, its limbs broken and two of their lame spears lodged in its torso. It was time to kick ass and chew bubblegum. "I'M ALL OUTA GUM!"

Zira was speechless.
Grant it Zira was always speechless but what people didn't know was she was still capable of speech. With everything going on now Zira couldn't have spoken even if she wanted to finally break the silence. Before she had even step out of the door Tori had entrusted her with a task she didn't feel ready for and to make matters worse some thing with no arms just started attacking those abyss grunts! And don't even get me started on the battle itself!
Damn the Abyss. Damn every living breathing member of the Abyss army. Damn them all straight back to hell for all the suffering they caused! First they made the City of the Dead what it was then they started hammering away at her hometown! Zira would do whatever she could in this battle and would now take on Tori's assignment with all her strength but then she noticed that mother fucking Joshua running TOWARDS the battle!
Zira grabbed his arm and tugged at him, forcing Joshua to look at him and wearing a face that clearly stated "I need you" without ever having to utter a single word. Zira pointed away from the battle where the innocence were, refreshing his memory about what Tori wanted them to do as she led him to the people that needed help.

War made it’s way unto the holy city of Fallon.
The Abyss had trekked on for days through the Dune Sea to reach the last bastion of civilization on the Castillian continent, and rightfully establish their dominance over the land of the ancient Ajerian Empire. With their final goal in view, and under the banner of the Angel of Deception, the Abyss would stop at nothing to see their vision take form – and so they came as one, their numbers fading even over the horizon of the tallest tower. The holy knights of the citadel erected several barriers in an effort to halt the bulk of the forces from penetrating the city but even their combined power did nothing to hold back Adena’s powerful abilities, or to stop her from finding a perch on the gate. The Angel above them, they instead focused on returning the attack in due to the Abyss grunts that made their way to the walls, bombarding them with arrows and magic.
Then meteors rained from the sky – shot from the distant siege weapons of the invaders. The Abyss had yet to breach the metropolis – The Paladins were prepared, and some of their own Chevaliers were down on the battlefield, pushing back in a vicious counter-attack, however neither side could have been ready for the sheer intensity of the onslaught, the result being a monumental clash of the forces of light and darkness. Still, the siege stood as testament of one incontrovertible truth…
The city was no longer safe.
The citizens and refugees that had come to Fallon in an effort to escape the Abyss’ clutches were now scrambling to flee with their lives. Alarm took hold of their bodies, while terror clouded their minds and fear threatened to devour them whole. Utter panic ran in the Square of the once-majestic city.
At the top of the Grand Cathedral above the rest of the world where only the chill of the high winds existed, a lone figure stood at the peak of the Paladin’s holy symbol. Shrouded by torn rags and clad in a dark armor, the Arashi stood as witness to the cruelty of inhuman creatures… and therein found the one he had been awakened to hunt for his master. It was as he had dreamed, the form – the posture. Her name echoed still in his mind as it had in the sanctuary of his slumber.

Right past Daikus and the small group, a woman dressed in silver shining armor, cloaked with red garmet to show her rank, followed by two other heavy paladins wearing golden armor showing their royal guard status. She pressed past the small group consisting of Daikus, Alexis, Tori, and Joshua, not exchanging glances or anything, she gave them her back as she bluntly walked through the sea of paladins and abyss. Her royal guard took to her left and right cutting the path she needed to the front gate.
And when she was centered in the growing mass, the royal guard continued to cover her, she knelt down and drew her blade from her side placing it in the ground. The explosion of holy energy leveled the Abyss within the front all the way back to the gate, but it didn't stop them from pushing through yet again. Nellia grabbed her blade once again as the Paladins had time to regroup in a line, "Send them back to the underworld, in pieces."

Legion upon legion of the Abysmal horde fluttered moreso through the busted gates and their siege engine roared aloud crumbling the wall to pieces. Adena took a step off the crumbling arc as it fell crushing several of the Abyss that were running under it. She landed on her toes in the crowd and eyed the Paladin up and down.
She truly didn't have a target in mind until just now. Adena didn't know anything about the Paladins in this world apart from what knowledge she stole from Be'lakor's head when she found it. But this female she only recognized from a bit of information, she was the 'general' of the Paladins, its leader in arms essentially. Adena stared at her and didn't speak.
The Abyss though, didn't know Adena at all, they were extremely expendable and so when Adena swiped her blade and the entire row of Abyss died to the plagued energy, they all backed away giving her a perfect path to this Nellia and her royal guard.

"ILLION!"
Alexis shouted again as she drew her sword, slicing off the head of an Abyss soldier that was making his advanced to their position. More people entered the fray until finally the general of the paladins herself walked by them and entered the thick of it all up ahead. She then saw Tori out the corner of her eye fighting alongside the rest of them.
Maybe she isn't so bad after all.
Alexis' attention was then snatched away by the sound of death, seeing a whole row of Abyss soldiers being destroyed off in the distance.
"Wh-what was that!?"

The feeling was mutual. Tori was too concerned with the situation at hand to even nod in acknowledgment if the woman did say anything to them. Her pistols aimed forward and fired, .40S&W bullets slamming into the fodder as they came forward, granting them a quick death and when some got too close she kicked the one leading the charge back into his comrades before back flipping away to gather some distance while shooting toward the enemies.
Upon landing Tori looked over to Alexis as something caught her attention, looking in time to see more Abyss up ahead dropping like flies. "That were one of your people right?" Tori then looked over to the thing that Daikus had summoned cutting through the fodder and possessing no limbs. Three words left her lips on default at seeing the creature. "What the fuck?"

"what? oh right... the people. It's hero time, hot stuff, what're you waiting for!" Joshua, in standard brash arrogance, stepped away from Zira, took a small 360 degree turn, and lobbed the ragdoll of the abyss soldier into the fray, then grabbed Zira's hand in his and ran off towards the direction she indicated. That creepy floaty slashy thing and Commander Keen had things covered. He and Sparkles had to go play Good Samaritans for the unwashed masses.
There was panic in the streets, noncombatant civilians screaming as meteors rained from the sky. Joshua spat curses at the flying rocks, shaking his armored fist at the sky then turning to Zira. "Alright Sparkles, what're we gonna do for these people?" He hoped she'd give an example, Joshua didn't expect her to talk but he expected her to have a plan.
Gangrel was the best at killing. He could do it no hands, hah! He moved through the abyss in an almost straight line, narrowly avoiding the shocked paladins as anything that gets in his way is diced to ribbons and severed limbs. Arrows stuck into Gangrel's body only to be pushed out by his healing powers, spells blew chunks from his form only for them to reform with each slain foe. There were no injuries, no casualties, only fatalities. The one moving towards the pack of overly shiny soldiers caught his eye though, He adjusted his course slightly, the puny one with the silly outfit seeming less important than the great roaring machine he just HAD to find a way to kill. He rushed towards the siege engine, blades tearing Abyssal soldiers apart, their weapons breaking on his bone hide as the revving of his blades were a Symphony of Suffering, and the screams of his foes and the cries of "What the fuck" around him were his Anthem of Agony. He was a good Conductor.

The Elite Judgment exploded before Alexis in a cloud of darkness that steamed off him like smoke. "Hush child." He was clad in full battle armor, the celestial design on it was one of dark images braided across each section of the armor that matched his figure and outline over his robes. In hand, a massive one sided bastard cleaver, down the side of it was the shining black runes in Ajerian tongue.
"Impress me, impress mistress Cyris," were his only words to Alexis before he bound upward and suddenly burst down toward the ground in an explosion that threw handfuls of Abyss soldiers in all directions. With no seizure in his assault he pressed forward quickly cleaving rows aside until he was on the backside of Nellia and her royal guard, opposite of Adena. The Judgment was gripping one of the Abyss soldiers in his left hand so tightly it threatened to crush his skull.
This Abyss soldier was tapped into the magics of the Abyss and was being used as a satellite for the ones behind him, all of which were frozen in their current motion in agony as Illions mind infiltrated theirs so harshly that blood ran from their faces. The Paladins that they were fighting began cutting them down. Illion dropped the Abyss soldier who was now dead and moved forward raising his hand to halt the Royal guard from cutting him down, "We are kin, of a sort. I fight for the Ajerians. Allies."

Zira could barely hear herself think with all of this commotion, though her next actions would require no thought. Onward Zira saw a boy who had fell down to the ground while trying to get away from the life and death situation brewing over Fallon Square. Unlucky for him that was around the same a rock was heading for him, threatening to crush him flat. Zira burst forward, running as fast as she could, grabbing the boy and getting both him and herself out of the way as the rock fell behind them. That was too close for comfort. Zira helped the boy up and continued running until they caught up with his mother, now Zira led both people who were too concern with getting to safety to really question the stranger helping them.

Another soldier was cut in half thanks to a 'high time' maneuver. This made about twenty he had cut down since he launched into the fray and they were living up to their name. "I'm tired of this crap..." He pulled out a specialized clip with a red like color too it, the words 'HGG 009' printed on it and slammed it into the Coyote-A.
It was time to get serious. He fired the shotgun and when the specialized bullet struck an enemy, the key characteristics of the HGG grenades Ranka used all the time took effect with flaming plumes of silver spikes made out of the shrapnel of the bullet took out a large group.
He fired again and with each bullet came the same result. "We'll see how endless these abyss really are when I get done with this clip."
